Custom Plate Covers
The perfect fit, time after time
American Metalcraft is the only manufacturer to offer custom round and oval covers to fit plates, platters, and bowls. Foodservice operators need only send a sample dish to American Metalcraft. Plate covers are then custom-made over the rim of the plate for a perfect fit.

Manufactured from durable 18-8 stainless steel, American Metalcraft plate covers are heat retaining, odor resistant, and won't chip, crack, flake, burn or melt. Knobs, cross-bars, and finger holes are available in most styles. The standard finish is polished on the sides and satin on the top.

All satin or all mirror finish is also available.

1. Plate covers are custom fitted over the rim of the plate with allowance for some normal size variation in commercial china. Covers are approximately 2" (5 cm) high over the rim of the plate. Extra high and lower height covers are also available.
   
   
2. Sample plates are required with all new orders for custom sizing. In most cases we guarantee our covers will stack with your customer's china.
   
   
3. To ensure secure stacking, a "well" is formed in the top of the cover that matches the foot of the plate. This stacking feature offers safe multiple meal carrying and cuts down on serving time.

Quick Collection
As the leading manufacturer of custom plate covers, it stands to reason that American Metalcraft should introduce the concept of the Quick Collection. A faster, lower cost, more convenient way to order plate covers, the Quick Collection is really catching on. Here's why:

• It's Convenient. Your local Quick Collection Dealer has a set of 65 different sized plate covers in his store. Or you can call your local American Metalcraft Sales Representative. All you have to do is bring your plate in to check the fit.
  
  
• It's Simple. Once the correctly sized plate cover is chosen, you place your order right at the dealer. There's no need to ship a sample plate to American Metalcraft.
  
  
• It's Fast. Your covers are shipped within 3 to 4 working days.
  
  
• You Save Money. Quick Collection covers are priced below custom plate covers.

There are just a few rules to follow:

• The minimum Quick Collection plate cover order is 12 pieces.
  
  
• You must confirm sizing of your plate with an authorized American Metalcraft Quick Collection Dealer.
  
  
• In the Quick Collection, all the rim sizes have at least 2 (some 3) different stacking options for the foot of the plate. Be sure to order the correct COV Item Number.
  
  
• If there is not a plate cover in the Quick Collection with acceptable stacking, you will need to order Custom Plate Covers.

Custom Fitted Stacking Oval Platter Covers
For any size or make ceramic, plastic, metal or glass oval platter. From 9-1/2" (24.13 cm) to 16" (40.64 cm) long. This includes all of Syracuse's "Great" Plates, Buffalo, Royal Doulton, Rego, etc. 150 different width and length combinations in 5 different styles. Constructed of 18-8 stainless steel. Covers custom sized directly to platter for proper nesting and solid stacking; this guarantees a perfect fit.

Ceramic platters have a tendency to warp during manufacturing. We cannot guarantee our oval covers will stack solidly if this condition exists.

Oval Platter Covers are fitted and priced based on a combination of rim length and width, and base length and width. Oblong Platters require special attention due to their shape. Please contact us for a quotation on oval and oblong platter covers. The information below is a guide only. Some platters with wide bases do not fit into the category indicated by their top diameters. Please check all prices with us before quoting Oval Platter Cover prices.

Extra High Banquet Covers
Approximately 2-1/2" (6.35 cm) & 3" (7.62 cm) High Over Rim of Plate. Available in most Stainless sizes. For special dishes: desserts, baked potatoes, chicken, etc. Can be custom designed for solid stacking. Not available in all diameters. Special order only. Sample plate required.

• 2-1/2" High for Plates up to 10" Diameter: Add 5.40 to CVR List
• 3" High for Plates over 10" Diameter: Add 5.40 to CVR List

Crossbar Lift Covers
Constructed of 18-8 stainless steel. Ideal where no finger hole is desired, cross-bar covers can be easily lifted. Steam holes are available if desired. Cross bar covers fit perfectly over plate rim but normally do not stack. For an extra tool and crowning charge, we may be able to make a stacking crossbar cover. Sample china is required to determine feasibility before quoting. Available in most stainless steel cover sizes from CVR04 through CVR08.

Flat Top Knobbed Covers
18-8 stainless steel, custom sized to fit over any plate or platter perfectly. Cannot be made to stack. Available with knob as illustrated or with cloche knob. With standard knob, same price as finger hole plate or platter covers. If cloche knob desired, add 7.80 ea to price. Available in all stainless sizes.

Lower Height Banquet Covers
1-1/2" (3.81 cm) High Over Rim of Plate. Other heights available. Call for quotation.

Available in most stainless cover sizes. Ideal where limited space exists. Can be custom designed for solid stacking. Lower Height Covers available for most sizes over 9" (22.8 cm) diameter.
